Just wait

(“And five years after that  . .  .”)

Simple words and phrases but imbued with arcane and esoteric connotations – that’s our sport. In front of the leg, receiving hand, riding back to front, reaching over the top line into, but not against, the bit. That’s a mere sampling. There are many more examples.

The interesting thing about all this is that while you may check the blocks and say “Yes, I know this concept. I’ve got it,” don’t worry, five years from now you will have re-discovered the same concepts in a deeper and more meaningful context that casts new light on the topic.

And five years after that. And five years after that. It’s normal. Finding out what you thought you knew was incomplete allows you to look at what you know now with the anticipation of more revelations to come.
