(Ha-honk!)

I was judging a dressage schooling show in Tallahassee. As always, I was summoning the riders to the arena with my duck call. Ha-honk! Ha-honk! One competitor after another.
About mid morning I blew for my next entrant: Ha-honk!

                                                 If I honk, they will come!

Along the side of the ring sat a row of spectators. Somewhere down near V came a loud Ha-honk! perfectly mimicking my call. With that, one of their number stood and pointed skyward. Six more watchers leapt to their feet, pointing imaginary shotguns to the sky, and with one voice shouted a loud, “Boom!”

The highlight of my weekend!
